    Hi everyone, I joined yesterday with a Premium plan and slowly getting the hang of things.

    I am new to WP – so far I have managed to upload two videos but they are only audio – no picture!

    I would like to know why and of course how to fix this problem.

    Works in Chrome though! Seems Firefox doesn’t work well with my blog.

    I just checked the page Firefox Dev edition and it worked fine.

    It worked in Safari.

    Did not work on Chrome on my browser.

    I would follow realsimpleway advice and go with live chat. I did see a bunch of errors in the console

    I can’t find this within the edit function to delete it and write what I want?

    Umm, yes there is! Okay so my blog is to showcase mixes I’ve made, also videos I have created so I would like categories for say, VIDEO, MIXES so that I can keep the relevant posts in those sections and the categories should show in the HEADER of course, up there with ABOUT and CONTACT etc

    I have found in the sidebar options when creating a post I see how to add a category but don’t know the nex consrucive steps, like organising these dudes!

    Hi Jamie.

    No I’m not wanting to add sidebars, just I need help with CATEGORIES.

    Like this – I mix music so would like a category called MIXES so that each blog post I make of that kind can go into a MIXES section.

    Same with VIDEOS – I make music videos for songs so I would like a category called VIDEOS for the same purpose

    The categories should then be displayed in the HEADER next to ABOUT and CONTACT right?

    You can see I have managed to make a category called VIDEO already – heaven knows how I did that!

    Anyway, does this info clear things for you?

    Hello Oliver,

    Sure! Got ya! So, you would want to add a post and click the “Settings” tab or a gear icon, and you will see a section called “Categories”. If you want, you can label it Mixes, Tapes, etc…

    Now, To make them in the header, you would have to go to My Sites > Customize > Menus > and go to your primary menu “Header Menu”. Then, you will be able and click “Add Items” and click “Categories”, so you could pick the category you chose when you edited a post.

    When your done, all posts you selected in that category, will be able and just share that part of all of your blog posts.

    Brilliant Jamie, thanks, I can look at this later today and do some tidying.

    I think after that it should be plain sailing but one thing is I have noticed, when I have done eiditing, I can’t see where I log out.

    I can log in of course just by going to the WordPress site.

    Yes, if anyone can help with this, I have a page now for music and a page for tv and film.

    The front page can house all the news and gaming and stuff, I would like to move the two existing topics from the front page into the music page, anyone know how to do this?

    That’s what I’m experiencing – I want to delete “This is the excerpt for a featured post.”but in edit mode I can’t see it to delete it!

    Hi,

    I have likely to found this issue. You should go to My Sites > Blog Posts > Click the blog post with that issue.

    Then, you would want to click the settings, or gear icon.
    Afterwards, click more options, and you will see a text box called “Write An Excerpt”.

    Please tell me if your still experiencing the same issue :)

    Yes.

    I have a front page and also pages for MUSIC and FILM AND TELEVISION.

    I want to move two of the posts on the front page to the MUSIC page.
