Hi, if they are posts, you might want to add them in different categories (if the pages are blog categories)

By going to: My Sites > Blog Posts > Click the blog you need help with > Gear/Settings Icon > Categories.

If you want to create a new category, you go to

My Sites > Settings > Drowpdown and click “Writing” and select the categories, then click Add to make a new one to add to it :)

Thanks Billy, I am a bit confused as to pages/categories being the same animal but following your advice I should be able to arrange these posts.

At the moment I have four posts all sat on the front page!

I can see in settings how to add categories but not how to delete previous ones listed that I no longer want?

So I managed to find out how to delete categories but when you add a new category I don’t get how to make them be listed in the header.

And that was my point about pages. I can list pages in the header but not categories.

It seems to me that they are the same thing and just cause confusion, on top of that I can’t perform the task I want to.

But uou know what people? Sometimes simple works and I’m happy now with the blog as it looks and just scrolling down and down and downward to see everything now and then.

Thanks supernovia. I’m pretty happy now I’m settled but I will of course follow your steps.

I may want to go down that route but what I’ve learned if anything is it is very easy to overcomplicate things?

Anyway apols to all for being a pain but I’m new ‘n’ learning all the time!

Could I have some more help please!

My blog is taking shape now but see the navigation bar – the pages are not in the correct order. Should be HOME first and CONTACT last nfrom L-R.

Does anyone know how to change their order?

I watched the video. i am confused. it tells you to create a menu. i don’t want that. the list is across left to right. it sys culture, home, music, mixes etc etc these are in the wrong order, i want to reorder them.

Hi there,

Oh sorry for misunderstanding. This should be easy by going into “My Sites” > “Customize”, near “Themes > Menus > and edit the menu you wish to choose from.

i am lost here. i am where you say to be – in menus there are options like a menu but my titles are not there to put in order, all my pages are not listed in the menu? i want to change the order of them on the navigation bar.

Hi there,

Since you are in the Customizer > menus, then it shouldn’t be hard to customize. I have tagged this as modlook, so that they can have a better look through your site.

So, now, you would want to check to see if you have something set as your primary menu. Please check to see if you have the “Primary” Menu, which is default for your main menu.

Please tell me, or send me a image link, so that I could get a better insight, of what you’re seeing.

only MUSIC and CONTACT are in the menu

so how come HOME, MIXES, VIDEO, OLD TIME RADIO, VINTAGE TV, CULTURE are not listed, I don’t understand.

If my pages are in the navigation bar, why do they not show in the menu so that I can move them up and down or, left to right as I want?

Hi,

Yes this is a little confusing. So, I think the issue is that, that is not your main menu. It looks like to just be a menu. Can you please check the list of all the menus, until you see one that matches the menu options, if you haven’t yet?

i’m sorry I do not understand this.

I have a home page with all the links on it. these are my pages.

I can see menus, options all of that, those links on my home page are not listed.

therefore I can’t reorder the links as I want.

Hey,

Alright. So, it seems like your computer may have some issues, or the browser.

Before we do some troubleshooting, we should try and start a new menu, and add those links you wish to add.

Please tell me if you have questions, or need help with this.
