New IOS update has negatively impacted the Classic Editor
-
I am a dinosaur who uses the classic editor. This morning I updated IOS on my iPad. As a result, I am no longer able to either add images to my blog articles or switch from the visual mode to HTML code mode. Obviously, this is a real pain in the neck. My browser is Safari.
I’d bring this unfortunate change to the WordPress.com software engineers. I hope they will investigate and correct the problem ASAP. TIA.

Hi there,
Dinosaur or human, we love seeing folks using WordPress for their sites, so thank you for reporting this!
I’ve tried to replicate this locally; however, using the same iOS version and Safari, I’m unable to just yet. I was wondering if you’re experiencing the same issues after clearing the browser cache or while using Google Chrome. Also, does this remain a problem if you’re trying this on the iPhone too?
Lastly, could you please share a recording of how this manifests on your end?
Best,

Thank you, Robert. I’ve been at this long enough to know that I need to empty the browser cache, but the thought just didn’t cross my mind yesterday. I emptied the cache this morning. Restarted my iPad, and everything now seems to be hunky dory. Thanks for pointing me to the obvious solution that I overlooked!
