New issue: Theme colors being inherited by Gutenberg

Theme colors being inherited by Gutenberg.
Hi guys. Can you help with a new problem? After I recently updated to WP 6.1 Gutenberg is now inheriting part of my site’s theme colors (ColorMag pro in ‘dark skin’ mode) and it’s hard to edit with a weird a dark background and unreadable grey text. I want Gutenberg to use black text with a white background regardless of theme colors. I’ve tried configuring this from Gutenberg (Options*Preferences*Use Theme Styles) but this toggle doesn’t have any affect, and Gutenberg still has a dark background (unless I change the theme skin for my entire site). How do I stop Gutenberg inheriting any part of the theme, so I can get back to editing in black text on a white background?

Hey there! Could you post this in the forums for the free WordPress software? These forums are primarily for our free-tier hosting, but I think the WordPress community can help.
If the theme styles toggle isn’t working, that does sound a bit like a bug, but I wasn’t able to duplicate it here. You might try the Gutenberg plugin (which has its latest updates) to see if that solves it.
Good luck! And if you have any questions about our services, we’d be glad to assist. This article may be helpful too. Cheers!
