New item in primary menu does not show as new weblink

    I added a new item in my primary menu and clicking on it show me contents under the default item… I want this to show as a new webpage..

    Also, on adding secondary menu, the primary menu disappears.. Please advice

    Hi there,

    It is possible to make menu items open in a new tab.

    1. Go to “My Site(s)”;
    2. Click “Customize” next to “Themes”;
    3. Click “Menus”;
    4. Click “Settings” icon next to “Menus” (blue in the screenshot below):

    5. Tick “Link target”;
    6. Click “Primary menu” (or “Secondary menu”);
    7. Click on your desired item. A checkbox “Open in new window” should be there :)

    As for having both primary and secondary menu – where would you like to have the secondary one? Usually it is only possible to have it in widgets or footer, but it depends on a theme you use.

    You are probably working on https://genuinewaysonline.wordpress.com/ right?

    I see you have enabled both primary and social menus (Left and right side at the top).

    Other option that you have here is to click on “Widgets”, choose your area (since there is no sidebar – you will be given options “Footer 1”, “Footer 2” and “Footer 3” and select one of the menus you created earlier, in the “Menus” tab. That way a menu will be added to the footer:
