New Layout Streap Out Text Formating
-
Several comments inserted with tags for formating Text and Imagens are suppressed
Images with <img src=””> disappears
Tags like
<h3 style=”padding-left:30px;text-align:center;”>
Are ignored…
The general usage for the new layout is Still slow and incomplete in functionality
Formating Always worked and the general layout change for comment edition broke some functionalities
Example:
Edit comment: You Can´t edit User/Email/TimeStamp …
The access to the old layout isn´t the default
My request is to restore the old layout AS DEFAULT; let the admin choose which one is set to the blog
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question

Hi there,
Several comments inserted with tags for formating Text and Imagens are suppressed
I’m not sure what you mean. Are you saying HTML inserted in a comment is being removed? I use HTML in comments daily without any prolbems.
Are you adding the HTML when replying on the site itself, via the notifications drop-down, or via the Comment Management screen in My Sites or WP-Admin? In order to confirm and fix a bug we need the exact steps to replicate it.
I should also point out that to embed an image in a comment you only need to paste the media file link – no need for HTML tags in that case.
Formating Always worked and the general layout change for comment edition broke some functionalities
What layout change are you speaking of? There hasn’t been a recent change in how comments in either WP-Admin or My Sites look.
My request is to restore the old layout AS DEFAULT; let the admin choose which one is set to the blog
The Edit link on comments now go My Site ->Comments by default. That isn’t going to change and there isn’t going to be an option to have that go to WP-Admin instead, just like there isn’t such an option for the Edit link on posts and pages.

Reply a comment, with this

So this happens if you edit a comment on the mobile app? Are you using the iOS or Android app, and what is the version number of the app?

https://tetznerdiversao.files.wordpress.com/2018/03/now.pngThat isn’t a layout that changed. Those are two completely different interfaces.
The first one is the Comments management page in WP-Admin, https://tetzner.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-comments.php
And the second is the new comments management in My Sites ->Comments. The edit button now goes to the second, but you can still reach the first by using the direct link.
looks better… but has fewer functionality
Can you please tell me what functionality is missing for you? Our team tried to incorporate all necessary features from WP-Admin into the new interface, but if they missed something I’d be happy to bring it to their attention.

Mobile 9.4 for Android
“Those are two completely different interfaces”
Ok, previously when I click in a comment for edit, wordpress open the old interface as default action.
Now it´s open using the new one as default for any edit action
How to “rollback” and use the old interface as Default Edition?

Mobile 9.4 for Android
Thank you. I’m able to replicate the problem using the steps you provided, so I’ll report it to our mobile apps team so they can look into it. Thanks for reporting this.

Correct. The edit button now goes to the My Sites interface instead of WP-Admin.
How to “rollback” and use the old interface as Default Edition?
That is not possible. That link now goes to My Sites ->Comments and there is no way to force it to go to WP-Admin instead, as I said in my first reply here.

While editing a comment and inserting this tags… the new wordpress layout/template ignore and erase the images
-
Is this still in the Android app? If so, the issue has already been reported, but I have no control over when it will be fixed, so we need to be patient for our developers to get to it.
I can add those images just fine to a comment in the new browser interface at https://wordpress.com/comments

-
and so
While editing a comment there is no way in this new layout to update de TimeStamp/Date…
the prior has a lote more options and this new one became too slow whn I open a comment for edition in less than 1 second in old one
this new one takes several seconds just to show a “blank screen”
https://tetzner.files.wordpress.com/2018/04/slowpress.pngYou guys could rename this new platform from “wordpress” to “slowpress”
-
I have no problem adding img tags to the comment at My Site ->Comments, and the images are not getting stripped out:
https://cloudup.com/c89atMbGOFs
Can you please give me the exact steps you’re following that leads to the image getting removed from the comment?
While editing a comment there is no way in this new layout to update de TimeStamp/Date
We have not included that option in the new interface, no. Can you please tell me why you’d like the ability to change the date or time on when a comment was made? In what type of situation would it be important to you to do this?

Apart from the time stamp, what else are you missing in the editing options in the new interface?
this new one takes several seconds just to show a “blank screen”
https://tetzner.files.wordpress.com/2018/04/slowpress.pngThat screen in your screen shot happens when something in your browser is blocking code on our site from loading. Please clear your browser cache and make sure your browser allows JavaScript code. Also try disabling any anti-tracking or ad-blocker extensions you might have in your browser and check if that makes any difference.

Some comment´s are hold and delayed in moderation or should be update to “up” comments widgets as this one only show the last 15 and my blog has hundreds of comments a day

The prior one works fine at same conditions… make no sense to change, disable, allow, etc if the old one didn´t use nothing this
-
I asked for exact steps, please. Including how the comment was created, was the image added in originally or after the fact, did you edit it anywhere else, etc. If you’re not willing to provide the exact steps to help me replicate the issue I can’t help you.

Comments that are held in moderation will still show the time stamp based on when the commenter originally left the comment, not on when you approved it.

The WP-Admin comments interface works with PHP code. The My Sites comment interface works with JavaScript code. It’s an entirely different type of code, and while there’s nothing in a browser that will ever block PHP, there are many things that can potentially block JavaScript.
Again, if you’re not willing to follow the troubleshooting steps I suggest, I cannot help you.

an existing comment, just open for edit, insert the tags with link and sabe

a comment made yesterday and hold for moderation, a need to update the timestamp to “now” so it could appears on last comments widget or be available at rss reader

I´m telling that I didn´t change anything AND the old over PHP as you told, that one It´s fast and works fine.
Javascript is Enabled and I don´t use add block yet, cache cleared

So the image was not in the comment before you edited. You edited it in the new interface to add the image HTML. Saved, and then the image was not there?
I followed those exact steps in Chrome and the image is visible in the comment for me after editing. I even re-edited the comment a few times, and the image is not removed.

Thanks for that. I’ll pass it along to our developers.

In that case it might be a connection issue. Please try unplugging your modem/router for a few seconds to reset the connection. Does that page also fail to load if you use a different browser or a different internet connection?
