New Page

  I have a home page for all my blog posts. However, I would like to add a different page which would allow me to basically put up separate posts on it. I would like this new page to also have a welcome page showing all its own set of previous posts. How would I go about doing this? After making this new page, I would also like to move some posts from the main blog page to the new one and I have no idea of how to do this. I hope I’m making sense. Looking forward to receiving some help

  Hello musingsinnirvana,

  One suggestion would be to add categories to your posts and then create a link in your menu to each specific page of categories.

  For example, you could have two categories for Cats and Dogs and then two menu items for Cats and Dogs that go to the respective posts.

  This way, your homepage will contain all posts from all categories (both cats and dogs) and your category pages will be more specific. To add posts from your main page, you would need to categorize them accordingly.

  If this sounds like it will work, here is the process you would take:

  STEP 1: Assign Categories to your Posts

  STEP 2: Create a custom menu. Customize -> Menus -> Add Item -> Select Category

  This solution will not necessarily have a ‘welcome page’. It will be more of a list of all the posts from a specific category. Will you please provide a little more information on what you want the welcome page to contain?
