New page disappeared

  I’ve been blogging with WordPress for 3 years and this is a first for me. I spent hours making a new page, today, and posted it.
  There is no tab for it, though.
  The only way I can access it is on the list of “all pages” off the dashboard. There, it says I have published 8 of 9 pages, which I have, but the last one, today’s, does not appear in the tabs across the top of the blog. The “all pages” window SAYS I published it 5 hours ago, which is true, but it is nowhere. If I click “edit” on this list, I can go right to it, and I know it is there, but it just has no tab, is not visible to the public.
  The name of the page is “Conquering Katey”.

  Oh, dear, TimeThief,
  I’m afraid I just don’t get it.
  1. Why, in the past, did I simply create a page and it appeared in place, and now I have to go through all these incredible steps I’ve never even heard of before?
  2. Why do I think I’m following the directions and I’m getting a mess? Now, all I have is ONE page, a category page, which I do like a lot, and which collects all the posts I had meticulously copied onto the old page that never appeared. Okay. But now all the other pages are gone. I mean, they exist on the back side, but don’t show to the public.
  I know my site will be greatly improved if I ever get this, so please don’t give up on me. Thanks!

  Sigh of relief, here. I made it somewhat better. Whew. I still do not see what I desired, but at least everything is up there except the “home” tab, and the Katey category page works. I think. Will give it more thought, post another “Katey Paper” to be sure, and who knows, I might figure it out, yet. Thanks.
