new page not showing up

  Hi, just started w/ wordpress. Tried to create a page instead of a “blog”. I created it, it is there when I go to my dashboard. But when I go back to view my site, my theme page comes up with my header, but the body says “sorry no posts matched your criteria”. Any suggestions on how to get my newly created page to show up here?

  Posts are the entries that show up on the main page and “pages” are almost like static pages that you can click on to go to them from the sidebar or top navigation bar (depending on the theme).

  A Post and a Page

  The error will show up on the main page until you have a post there.
