New page notification

I understand that my blog followers will get notified when a make a new post. Will they also receive a notification when I create a page? Also, are only posts qualified to be freshly pressed, or it also applied to pages?

No, your subscribers won’t be notified of new pages.
Here are feeds which work here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/feeds/#your-feedsHere is what you see when you try to see the feed for your “about” page:

It is only feed for comments on that page. A new page will show the title of the feed, but because there are no comments it will be blank. -
