New Page with Subscription Option
-
Hi,
I am trying to create a page on my WP site – shiwanigurwara.com
which ONLY has the subscription option.I want to be able to guide / lead people to this page to make it easier for them to subscribe.
I have a premium account as of now and after having spent more than 2 days on the net trying to get an answer for this, I am asking for help here.
I do have a subscription widget that shows on the home – but that is tucked away on the sidebar and is not too easy for people to see.
Thanks and hoping my woes will get solved here finally!
Thanks

I finally figured how to add in a block on a page.
However, dont know how I can use that page to collect email id’s.What I want to do is to be able to send a single link to people I know so they can easily enter their email id to subscribe to my blog. Most people are finding it tough to search for the subscribe widget that appears at the bottom on the mobile and a bit below on the right hand panel…

Did you try The Subscriber Popup Form – By MailChimp?
as suggested in my above response:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/new-page-with-subscription-option/#post-3282236Can you please try doing that by following link?
Let me know if it looks good on your site?
This is how it works, it just shows the popup once anyone visits your site.
However, dont know how I can use that page to collect email id’s.

You can create a Page, and put the form on that page, then you can share the link of that page.
I think the better option is putting “The Subscriber Popup Form – By MailChimp” which I have already told you about.
Hope that helps.
Best Wishes,

Hi Vishal,
Do not want to go in for the popup. Its irritating for most people.
I did manage to create a subscribe page. Then I realize that the people who enter their email get added to the mailchimp list – but it does not show on the site – as in you have these many subscribers….which is what i want!So crazy times – trying out new stuff.

PS: Thanks for subscribing though – appreciate it ! Spread the word too – if u like what u read! -

If you wish to see the subscribers on your website then, you get those followers from “Follow Blog Widget” and “follow button” on the bottom right corner of your site, as long as you have published two or more posts.
Learn more about this at our support site here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/
I can see you already have a widget on site, but it’s not in the proper order, I can see the WordAds banner on the top of the sidebar, instead of showing that, you should place your “Follow Blog Widget” just a suggestion that might help.
Hope this helps.
Thanks!

Hi Shiwani,
I have been trying to explore how to move the ad below the subscription widget but unable to get to that as yet!
Please check if you are able to move or re-order your WordAds Widget by visiting the Widgets setting page:
Go to My Sites > Personalize click on “Customize” > WidgetsLet me know if you don’t have the option to re-order the WordAds widget?
Else, you can achieve that by adding custom CSS, but you’ll need the Premium Plan to do that. (I am not sure what plan you have?),
If your site is with a Premium plan or Business plan, you can seek CSS code from the CSS Forum here:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forums/css-customizationOr
If you wish to disable Ads banner from sidebar you can follow the steps:
Please go to “My Site” > Select your site >
Configure> “Earn” > Ads-Setting pageOn the “Ads-setting” page you’ll be able to disable the ads shown on the sidebar.
Best,

Hi Vishal,
Thanks for all your help on this.
I don’t want to disable wordads – hoping to monetize the site in whatever way I can (without compromising on what I want to write about) – and learning along the way!
I do have a Premium account and have asked for help on the CSS forum -lets see what happens. The customize widgets option does not let me move them in relation to the wordad that appears! :(

Hi Vishal,
I thought I would share this response with you that I recd …. it actually helps me do exactly what I wanted to in the first place – create a page with the subscription option. Am cutting and pasting the response I got on the CSS forum.

Hi there, it’s not possible to change the placement of the WordAds ads on your site, and to the best of my knowledge, not even with CSS. https://wordads.co/faq/One thing you might try in addition to the subscription widget is publishing a new, separate page with only the blog subscription shortcode in it and then add that page with a Subscribe link in your navigation menu.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/blog-subscription-shortcode/
Hope that helps.
