New Pages

You need to add a ‘Justify’ button to the new Edit page. If I select Edit on a post I go automatically to the new edit page and have problems.
The only way I can edit a post properly is to open up the post from the Dashboard and select edit there, then I have the old page and can Justify.
To be honest I do not like the new alternate pages for WordPress because they are (A) Too small and (B) not as comprehensive as the original.
I sincerely hope you do not change over to the new pages permanently.Another problem I have is with the ‘How Can I Help’ which pops up on the screen. As soon as I begin to type it disappears. Any idea why? Thanks.

Hi there,
Please note this first https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-reinstate-the-option-of-choice-to-use-the-old-publishing-format/page/32?replies=942#post-2338964
You do not need to use the new editor. If you are focused on locating the ways and means of accessing the legacy or classic pages for creating posts, editing posts, and viewing stats please see here
http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2015/04/05/navigating-the-classic-wordpress-com-interface/1. To use the classic editor to create posts
go to Dashboard > Posts > Add New

Unfortunately, we cannot disable that super annoying little pop-up box that pops up on every page load. See here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/howdy-how-may-we-help?replies=26#post-2337572

Hi Timethief,
Thanks for the reply, but alas it did not help much. I already know what you are telling me.
What I do need to know is how I can get to the standard edit page automatically as in the past just by pressing ‘Edit’ at the bottom of any post without being taken to the strong>new edit page as I am now.
Previously, clicking ‘Edit’ would take me automatically to the standard edit page which has the ‘Justify’ button, but now it doesn’t. I currently have no choice but to use the method you have described (repeat of my words), but it was less messing about and more direct with the old system.
If the new edit page had the ‘Justify’ button as the old does it would not make much difference, but right now it doesn’t.
As previously mentioned,. I do not think WordPress is doing itself or its customers any favours with these new pages. In my view it is a step backwards.
Best Regards,

Hi Timethief,
Incidentally, I would not wish to disable the pop-up because it can be very useful. I have already made use of it when I had a problem.
It is hard enough these days to get in direct contact with you guys when problems arise as I have to go from page to page to get contact.
My query was why it continually disappears as soon as I start typing a question.
I tries to contact you guys about the ‘Justfy’ and edit problem outlined above but got to type just three or four letters and it disappeared. -
tpenguinltg made a post with a list of work-arounds so you can use the classic editor both for making a new post and editing older posts. I use the user script with Greasemonkey on Firefox and it works better than the cookies WP used before they eliminated it.
The user script automatically goes to the classic editor when you click Edit on a blog post.

I do not have an answer for that question and have tagged this thread for a Staff response.

Hi Roy.
My query was why it continually disappears as soon as I start typing a question.
The chat box only appears at times where operators are available to chat. Operators will become unavailable at times where they’re dealing with a high volume of chats, and the box will then disappear. We’re actively working at increasing the availability of that box, however.
You need to add a ‘Justify’ button to the new Edit page.
You can find the Justify button in the new editor by firstly clicking on the Toolbar Toggle icon. This will unveil of second row of buttons in the toolbar, including Justify. I’ve created a screenshot with both of these highlighted in the new editor for you:
Hope this helps out! :) If you have any extra questions, just let us know.
