New pages are not added to sitemap.xml

  For example, https://shinbopedia.wordpress.com/sitemap.xml does not include the following pages:

  According to the Google document
  https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/sitemaps/build-sitemap,

  “All formats limit a single sitemap to 50MB (uncompressed) and 50,000 URLs.”

  Both my sites https://sjohnru.wordpress.com and https://shinbopedia.wordpress.com/ do not exceed the limit.

  Hi there:

  On WordPress.com, the number of posts in your sitemap is limited to the 1,000 most recently updated posts. You can read more about sitemaps on WordPress.com here:

  https://wordpress.com/support/sitemaps/

  Regarding the specific posts/pages listed above, they’re all showing in your sitemap here:

  https://sjohnru.wordpress.com/sitemap.xml

  Your sitemap at https://shinbopedia.wordpress.com/sitemap.xml would only show posts or pages published on shinbopedia.wordpress.com and it would not show posts or pages published on sjohnru.wordpress.com. This is the expected behavior.

  Therefore it looks like your sitemap is working just fine for sjohnru.wordpress.com. Was there something specific that isn’t working for you? Once we have that information, we’ll be happy to take a closer look.
