new pages automatically become parents for existing pages
-
blog = http://oldbike.wordpress.com
Recently, when i add a new page, it automatically becomes a page parent for 2 or 3 other existing pages.
Obviously that means the page listing goes out of synch so every time i have to go into the other 2 or 3 pages and amend their page parent to none. It recurs whenever i edit that new page.
I’m using alphabetical page order. But i’ve had similar issues on my other blogs when i also use page order numbers.
This may be an issue when you get to a certain amount of pages on a blog?
Though lots of pages is an essential aspect of this blog (it’s a bicycle museum).
MAC OS X 10.4.11 1.8 PowerPC G5 using Camino 1.5.3 as browser.
Server is Virginmedia with 2gb.
thanks in advance for any advice

Thanks Hanni.
Given the amount of extra time I have to spend to correct this, it would be particularly useful if there was an option to remove page parenting or a function to revert all to main page, rather than having to bring up each affected page, edit to main page and save each time.
