New Pages Don't Show Up; Pages Made Private Still Show Up
-
I am trying to make some existing pages on my blog private and add a new page to my blog. In the Edit page mode, everything looks right. The new page indicates its been published and the other pages are now marked as private. However, when I visit my site, the old pages are still public and the new page does not appear.
I am working in Chrome
Thanks for help
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What you expected would happen automatically if you used the regular menu of the theme. But you’re using a custom menu, so you have to go to Appearance > Menus and update the menu yourself.
-
The Private pages show for you because the blog recognizes you. They dont’ show for other people.
-
Yes, the links show, but surely the pages don’t show? I get a big Page Not Found at http://telyehudah.wordpress.com/cyj-texas/
-
Yes of course private pages don’t show for us. What I meant is telyehudah isn’t really asking about the pages, s/he’s asking about the menu – or so I understand.
-
I am asking about the menu. the new page i created does not show on the menu and the pages I made private still show up on the menu
-
I’ve answered your question from the start: you need to go to Appearance > Menus and update the menu manually.
-
Thanks. Updating the appearance manually worked. Is this a new feature? I never had to do this before.
-
New feature? Custom menus were introduced two or three years ago, and they’ve always worked like that, because the whole point of a custom menu is that it displays what you tell it to display. If you never had to do this before, then you never changed your pages before, or you changed them while using the regular menu of the theme.
