Why are my new pages not listed in Appearance > Menu?
-
on the left of the menu page, in the box for listing pages to add to my menu, it says “No items”
Yet I have created some pages, and they are published privately for now.
I even created a new page this morning and refreshed appearances>menu, but still no pages showing
Am I missing a step?

Hi there,
It appears that all of your pages are saved as “Drafts.” In order for them to become available in your Appearance > Menus page, you will need to publish them.
You can publish your pages by clicking on “Edit” for each individual page and then clicking on the “Publish” button on the right side of your screen.
-
Several have been published as private pages, but even these are not showing up on the appearance>menu page.
Do I have to have published them publicly to see them?
-
Yes, the pages will need to be public to be added to the menu. Alternatively, you could published the pages publicly, but password-protect them: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-visibility/
