New paragraph and bolding
-
When using the visual editor, I’m not able to insert a blank line/start a new paragraph by using “Shift+Enter.” While it looks fine in the editor, everything changes when I preview/update the page. In addition to the spacing changing, many headings are also automatically reformatted to “Paragraph” instead of “Heading 1.”

Hi there,
I’ve been trying to replicate the problems which you’ve been describing and I haven’t been able to, either with Shift+Enter not doing a single line break or with Headings not displaying as headings with the theme Modularity Lite.
Are you still having problems with this? Do you have a specific post that you can show me where this is a problem?

Yes, I’m still having issues with this. The page where I have issues is on the event calendar page. The spacing is very wonky and I’m not able to fix it. Thanks!

There were a couple of issues going on in this case. Some of your Month name headers were set to be bold and italic as well as being set to Header 1 while some were only set to be Header 1 and italic.
I went through and set them all to be bold and they now have a nice and uniform look.
For the spacing between the months, Shift+Enter only does a single line break and doesn’t replicate for multiple lines usually. So in cases like this, it’s usually better to just do a paragraph break (which is to say, just go to the paragraph before and press “Enter”). This puts a nice clear whitespace between the sections and allows you to see that the months are separate.
I hope this helps!
