New paragraph editor problem with new WP install.

    My problem is when using Enter to make a new paragraph in the editor (Visual or Text), it displays correctly in the editor but doesn’t show as a new paragraph on the live site when published.

    I’ve just installed WP 4.1 using the current Gantry Rocketlauncher zip file followed by the automatic update to 4.1. My understanding is that when editing a Post, simply pressing Enter or Shift-Enter whilst on the Visual editor tab should be enough to produce a line break/new paragraph.

    If I include paragraph mark up tags <p> on the text editor, the paragraphs display correctly. If however I then toggle to the Visual editor the tags disappear from both editors and the paragraph no longer displays correctly.

    Any suggestions or am I just missing something obvious. PS. I’m a WP newbie but have 40 years IT experience, for what it’s worth.

    Hi there. As you don’t provide a URL I can’t be sure, but I think you’re in the wrong forum. This support forum is for free WordPress.com blogs. You sound like you have a self-hosted WordPress.ORG install. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
