  Can you please add the Mailchimp plugin. Instructions on how to add are available at http://connect.mailchimp.com/how-to/81. As wordpress is used as my main website I would like the ability to allow users to opt-in to receiving e-mails/newsletters from me. I wish to use Mailchimp for my blast e-mails/newsletters. Thank you

  I think that this is a niche area, and not many WordPress bloggers would find it useful. Couldn’t you do the same thing by asking them to subscribe via a contact form in the sidebar? You would have to add them manually – or if you have thousands of subscribers it might be worth coding a hook into your email system.

  I second blanchnelson’s request, for exactly the same reason. A contact form is not enough, and it would be great to have it added.
