for example i would love to be able to see what people entered in the ‘others’ vote if possible ..cross ya fingers they will update this feature for us =)

I tried the poll feature using the automatic account generation. It inserted the code [polldaddy poll = 123456] but nothing appeared in the post. I tried a few times, didn’t work.
Do you need to be using a special theme for this to work or something? I’m using Tarski theme, no editing on my part (don’t know how!).

It won’t appear in the visual editor. You’ll need to Preview the post to get it to show up. Is that what you meant? It only shows up as code even then? Don’t put any spaces in the code, btw.

raincoaster – It did not appear in the published post, nor did the code, it was just a blank space. I didn’t mess with the inserted code at all.
I followed all the instructions to create the poll and then clicked ‘send to editor’. It inserted code in the post while I was editing. I then clicked ‘publish’ and went to view the site. No poll.

Update – I just tried again using ‘white simple’ poll theme as opposed to ‘white plastic’ and it worked!
I don’t know whether the whole thing has been fixed between last night and now (CET) or if there’s a problem with some poll themes versus others.

Reading all of the above, I’d just like to say “Thank you” for this feature. I’ve just tried it out and it is perfect. (Admittedly I’m only using a basic poll, perhaps unlike you more expert good people!)

I also did an automatic set up of account at Polldaddy and also cannot access it. I would like to as it contains an error which I want to edit. Can anyone help? Cheers

mmmadmin – I am using the Andreas 09 theme. And I had no trouble centering it using the visual mode of the rich text editor.
You should see the code when you access the “visual” mode. Then highight the code, press the “align center” button and that should do the trick.
Have you tried adding <center></center> tags as bookends for the code?
Example: <center>Your poll code</center>

Okay, I see the problem now. I used the <div></div> tags because I added a background color to the poll. The <div></div> does the trick.
Here is my code;
[polldaddy poll=your poll number].
Just substitute the background color for whatever color you want. If you want white, the code would be:
<div style=”background-color:#ffffff;text-align:center;”>[polldaddy poll=YOUR POLL NUMBER]

centering works perfect with the <div> tag! Thanks masterclasslady!
Now if someone could explain why I can’t have my poll in a text widget (http://greekchesspolitics.wordpress.com) so that I wouldn’t have to construct an awkward bypass…
A, and by the way, I’m also interested on how to use my automatic registering to Polldaddy…
All in all, fantastic resource (and I hope the small glitches will go away)…

When the screen appears for the poll entry, it won’t allow me to enter the question or answers to the poll? What am I doing wrong?

Nice Feature.
I’m just wondering: Am I able to see what people write in the ‘other’ section?
The Poll overview counts the votes for ‘others’ but it doesnt show what the other answer is, although it says ‘See Below’ behind it.Greetz,
