  I just want to create another portfolio for free for my class but it is asking about transferring a domain I do not know what that means.

  Hi @purpleandnavy28,

  If you only want to make a free WordPress.com site without a custom domain then you don’t need to worry about transferring a domain.
  Domain transfers are only used if you purchased a domain from someplace other than WordPress.com
