new portfolio photos not showing in Purpose theme

I replaced two photos in the portfolio section in a Purpose theme about 3 hours ago; the photos appear inside the portfolio section but don’t appear on the public site

I’m going to need a bit more info to be able to help you.
Where exactly on your site did you replace these images? I don’t see any section on your front page, or any page on your site, labelled “Portfolio”.
I can see your published projects in the default portfolio archive page at https://soulestull.com/portfolio/, but I don’t see any way a visitor to your site could get to that, as it’s not linked anywhere I can see.
If that’s what you’re referring to, for which of the projects did you update the images, and what image is supposed to show in each case?
Note that if you’re using the portfolio shortcode anywhere on a page to display projects, shortcode content is cached on a site, so it can take up to 24 hours for any content added via a shortcode to update after it has been changed.

thanks for responding;
the photos are on the “Professionals” section of the web site; the photos are of Megan and Alison; those two photos were replaced yesterday mid-day; this morning in the Portfolio editing screen the thumbnails of the 9 or so photos are the old photos; but if you “edit” the individual portfolios the new photos are there; I haven’t used any shortcodes; not sure what’s happening

When I visit soulestull.com and click on the Professionals page I see a photo for both Megan and Alison.
Are you still unable to see those?

thanks for responding; I see the photos but what you see there are photos I’m trying to replace;
in my Portfolio editor, (there are nine items in that editor, one for each photo with its text) in “Edit” I see the new photos but they are not coming up on the website; I put the new photos up yesterday; thx Liz

I understand. Thanks for the extra information. Can you go to the site’s media library and copy a link of the images that you want to be displayed for Alison and Megan on the Professionals page. I will give it a try from my end.

My guess is that the featured image on these posts needs to be updated. That’s what gets pulled on to the professionals page.
Go to https://wordpress.com/edit/jetpack-portfolio/soulestull.com/646
and click on Featured Image from the right hand side menu. Use the x to remove the current image then add the correct one from the media library.

Not sure what you mean here. Don’t you see the Featured Image option, or does it not want to update the image?
Because the issue here is definitely the featured image – on both those projects I see the image you want in the content, but a completely different image set as featured.
You should be able to update the featured images by clicking this icon:
Or if you’re using the WP-Admin editor, remove the image and add a new one:
Then update the post to save the changes.
If that’s what you’re doing, but the image is not sticking after you update the post, that would indicate something is wrong. In that case, please see if clearing your browser cache or using a different browser helps. If not, let us know and we can troubleshoot this further.
