  I am logged in and I do not have the ‘new post’ tab in the grey bar on when I hover over the wordpress logo so I can’t do a new post. I have only done about 4 posts so far so I’m new at this but now I don’t know what to do.

  Are you trying to post to http://www.akieproducts.com/? If so, that site is not hosted on WordPress.COM. If you usually have a WordPress logo at the top, you probably have a self-hosted WordPress.ORG install (although when I went to your site, I got the impression that it might not be WordPress at all)
