New Post also appears as Comment to Old Post?

  I just recently put up a new blog entry that shows up as its own article but I also got a notice I need to approve it as a comment for an older blog entry. I do have a link in the new entry to the old one since there is some relation in subject matter so rather than re-explain some things, I just added the link to the old entry. Can I delete the comment to the old entry while retaining the new entry? I have no idea why it is showing up as both a new entry and a comment on the old entry. Thanks for any assistance.

  That’s called a pingback. You can delete it safely or you can disable pingbacks altogether. http://en.support.wordpress.com/comments/pingbacks/
