New Post Disappears, Already Cleared Cache
-
My new blog post disappears even though I have published it three separate times. I followed the support suggestions and cleared out the cache and republished, but this morning it was gone again. Never had this problem before. Help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needs be.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/
See also if applicable > restoring from trash http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash(If you are referring to a Page then see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-revisions/)
I recommend:
Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
Always allow pages to fully load before clicking any other links.
Use an offline blog editor so you have backups on your own computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/ -
Thanks. I have restored from saved versions several times and yet it keeps reverting to draft.

I think it’s possible that your blog may be caught up in the duplicate blogs issue so I’ll tag this thread for Staff. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

I have been having the same issue.
1st: Posted a blog item that was e-mailed to my subscribers but then it never posted on my home page.
2nd: Created a new page exactly as described above (by going through dashboard) and although it shows on my page list when I look at “All Pages” it doesn’t actually show up on my site anywhere.Subscribed, as interested in the problem solving on this one.

@howardpublicschool
What this thread is primarily about is post visibility settings reverting from Published back to Draft. If you have that issue with Posts go to > Posts > All Posts and hover over the title of the post. Click the Edit link. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/In the top right hand module ie. the Publish module make sure the posts are not set to Draft or Private and if they are change that setting to Public and click the big blue Publish button. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/
It seems to me that you have Pages issue.
Troubleshooting – My Pages aren’t appearing
They must be public pages – not private and not drafts so check the page visibility setting http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-visibility/.
Public – The page will be visible to everyone.
Protected – The page is protected with a password you set. Only people who have the password can view a protected page.
Private – Pages are only visible to blog Editors and Administrators. Private pages are not visible in Reader, feeds, or in any search. A page can be private without being password protected.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/If you have created a custom menu then add the Page to it.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-pages
Note that you can enable this on your custom menu settings at the bottom of the page:
Menu Settings
Auto add pages
__ Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu -
Thank you.
The post issue I am having is that it was e-mailed to my subscribers but then instead of being posted to my home page it reverted back to draft form, as described by pastormack. In terms of the page problem this is the 35th page I have published, all created in the same way and I have never had a problem before. The page is public as are all my pages. Under my dashboard “All pages” the status says published. It is nested under the parent “Ward 7 information” in slot 2, but when you hover over that menu item it doesn’t show up there.
Puzzling.

To both @pastormack and @howardpublicschool, I’d like to help you out. Could you please provide the following information:
1) What is the address of the post, or the title, so I can take a look?
2) Are you composing the post in the full Dashboard editor or from http://wordpress.com/post/ ?
3) Are you using a mobile device/the mobile app or a computer? Which browser and browser version are you using?
