[new post] email notification title
-
Hi there
I would like to know how to change the title of new posts as they show up in subscribers email addresses.
Currently they come up as: “[New Post] ‘and then the posts title'”
Because we will be having multiple authors on the blog, I would like each authors name to come up instead of new post.
Here is an example: “[Dylan’s Post] ‘and then the post title'” and so on.
Is this possible? And if so, how does one do it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I don’t believe we can change that—it’s how wp.com has coded our software.
Neither of these works in the title but it makes clear in the first line of the email who wrote the post:
You might try inserting something like this in the html editor, before the beginning of each post:
`<span style=”visibility:hidden;”>Dylan’s Post</span>Also note that (at least) some themes do display the author in email subscriptions

Hey
Thanks for getting back to me.
I tried to include the html as you suggested in a different blog as a test, but it doesn’t seem to work.
Any other suggestions?

Sorry, I only just noticed that the visibility hidden shows up in my Google mail, but not in my mac mail.
