    Hi there,

I’m sorry to hear that. Can you please have your followers check their notification settings here:

    http://wordpress.com/following/edit/

Also check the Delivery settings in case they checked off blocking all WordPress.com emails here:

    https://wordpress.com/settings/notifications/

As a test, I will follow your blog and see if I receive your post notifications.

    Thanks!

Thank you! I will see if I can find email addresses for them. My mom is also a follower, but she does not have a wordpress account. Should she still get email updates if she confirmed the follow?

Oh yes she will! Please have all email subscribers check their settings here:

    Sorry, I should have remembered!

    Thanks!

I sent this to her to double check because she already confirmed and did not receive an update when I posted on Monday.
One more question: where do you suggest I go to start learning wordpress better (not self-hosted)? I’m not web savvy; starting this blog was a risky step, and I’d like to learn how to make my site into so much more. I not only have work ahead of me in producing content and paintings, but also in learning how to create a successful blog!

    Thank you so much

    Hi there,

Can you have her check her spam/junk folder? Sometimes are emails end up in there. Also, it’s good to check that she hasn’t blacklisted WordPress in her email filter. I hear of that happening a lot.

Since, I’m following your blog, I will get an email after your next published post. Follow up with me after and I will check my email.
