"New Post" is not working correctly.

  New Post is suddenly not working correctly. In the upper righthand corner of my blog, I click on New Post. As usual, up comes a choice: “What would you like to post?” In the past, I could click on a choice (usually text) and then add the post. But now, when I click on Text (or any of the other options), nothing happens. The only way for me to add a post is to go through dashboard. I’ve tried logging out and back into WordPress but that didn’t help. Suggestions?
