New post not appearing in Reader

  The title says it all. My posts always have appeared in the Reader almost as soon as I publish, but today’s post isn’t there. Am I being impatient? has the system slowed down?

  Add: it’s not showing in Firefox or Safari.

  I need some advice on how to get this resolved. New posts have appeared in my reader, but mine has not. I am not getting any traffic. Please advise. Thank you.

  Hi Linda,
  I just had a look at your site and the most recent post date is January 5th. Are you concerned about a more recent post? If so, it would appear that it hasn’t been published, which would account for it not showing up in the reader. Check your dashboard to see if your post is still listed as a draft. Hope that helps.

  just to be sure : are you sure you really clicked on “publish” ?
  normally since you click on “publish” the article must appear on shoreacres.wordpress.com.
  Can you try again ?

  It was published, since I received an email notification and there are comments on the blog.

  The problem is that, even though the email went out, it is NOT showing in the reader. My reader is functional, since Ive received notices of blog postings from people I follow.

  However, I see what you mean about the January 5 date. I published it at approximately that time, today — January 9. I have no idea how the date got changed. Is it possible to change the publication date and get it into the reader?

  Well, I figured it out. Somehow, the posting date was changed to January 5, rather than January 9. In addition, the title of the post was changed to “trash.” I certainly didn’t do either of those things.

  I did publish another brief post, with a redirect to the original post, and that worked fine. From now on, I’ll be sure to check the posting time shown behind that little calendar, so this doesn’t happen again.

  I’m closing this thread, as my redirect post made it into the Reader.
