New post not showing up in Reader

    Hi there,

    I’ve recently moved my blog to the self-hosted WordPress site connected to Jetpack. I’ve published three posts since the move and the latest one, from yesterday, is not showing up in the feed of the Reader which means that most of my 330 followers from inside WordPress.com are not seeing it.

    I have another self-hosted WordPress site and the post from there always showed up ok in the Reader. Is there a technical problem or did I screw up any of the settings?

    Check your Reader again. I added your site to my Reader (via http://olaswelt.com/feed) and was able to see you posts without issue.

    Hi Darnell,

    Sorry to bother you again but the problem still seems to persist. I published another post last week, on July 13, which showed up almost immediately in the WP Reader. This week, however, the post published around noon on Monday (July the 18th) was not shown until Tuesday morning and the post published around noon on Wednesday (July the 20th) is still not shown in the Reader almost 2 days later. I can understand if there’s some delay for self-hosted sites but 2 days?

    What’s also odd is that when I look at the Reader on my phone, scroll down to the previous post, then click on my blog to see a list of all posts, the new post from Wednesday is there. But not in the list with the other blogs I follow and also not when I do the same on my computer. So, could this possibly be a problem with my feed?

  • Yes, it does sound like a problem with your feed and you’re not the only one who has reported this issue. We are currently looking into the issues, but I have updated some things for your feed again – let me know if you now see your posts.

    Hopefully you won’t have the issue again, but please report if you do. We will be looking into this further to try and identify the problem.

    Thanks a lot, Darnell.

    I’m suspecting it could be connected to the theme and me using not the standard post format or it’s caused by some recent changes I made in the the Yoast plugin. But that’s just a guess. Will investigate further and hope for the best :)
