new post notification active persistently

dear wp support team,
yesterday someone’s (tonsyaukat.blogspot.com) commented on one of my article. but, strangely, the new post notification on my dashboard are always activate–colored orange square with talk bubble–even when i already clicked it.
sign-in sign-out doesn’t seems to solve the problem. colored orange square with talk bubble always reappear, even if i clicked it again and again.
can someone help me solve this problem?

Hi there,
I’m sorry about the trouble with that notification. I reported this to our developers so they can look into the issue.
Here are some things you can try to make sure the notification is marked as read:
- Click on the notification icon, and then click on the notification itself in the dropdown list
- After closing the list of notifications, stay on the same page for a few seconds to make sure it registers that you read the notification
- Check your notifications archive to make sure there isn’t an older, unread notification there

I’ve done every list you mentioned above before I shoot my post here–in the first place. strangely, a day after I post my issue, the problem seems to be fixed by itself. I wish this problem won’t happen again in the future.Thanks for your concern, Rachel. -)

I’m glad it seems to have fixed itself. Hopefully it isn’t a problem for you again! Our team is aware of the issue, so if anyone else reports it we can continue gathering more information about the problem so we can track down why it happens. :)
