New post notifications for other editors?
-
I am the administrator of a new, private blog that I use to stay in touch with members of my D&D group (not all of us have Facebook accounts, so I was hoping this would be easier than constantly emailing back and forth). I have invited the other four members of my group as editors. However, I can’t seem to find a way to notify them by email every time a new post is created. Is this possible without using plugins? I’m using a free account and I don’t think I can use plugins.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can set up email subscriptions by using this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/
Get the editors to subscribe to the blog. When they do that they will receive notification of every post that is published on the blog.

FTP access and plugins are only for VIP bloggers http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ or for those with WordPress.ORG installs. This is not new. It’s the way it’s always been.
There is no FTP access to our free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we bloggers cannot install plugins.
