New post subscriptions to followers

People following my blog get an e-mail when I publish a new post. That e-mail contains the full text of the new post. Is there any way to customize the notification to show just part of the post, then have them click over to read the whole thing?

To change this for all new posts on your site, change the feed setting to Summary on this page:
https://sambrady.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php
You can also control this on a per-post basis by adding the more-tag to your posts:
