  what used to be a simple way for anyone to make a post with easy features is now a complex and inflexible block system – please revert to a wysywyg again.

  Hello,

  Gutenberg’s blocks are actually a very effective and faster method to write. I can understand that it might mean a little bit of a learning curve, sometimes even a discomfort. But don’t we all go through a little discomfort when trying something new? Give it a chance, I assure you, you are going to love it.

  Of course its still your choice to decide which editor to use, here is how you can use the Classic editor. You will basically have to use the wp-admin interface instead of the WordPress.com dashboard. You can find a option to switch to the wp-admin screen on the menu, left-hand side at the bottom.

  The other easier way to directly use the classic editor is the direct URL:

  The new version:
  https://wordpress.com/posts/my

  The classic version:
  https://thedogwithablog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
