New Post Text Box

    I’m trying to post a blog, but the text box isn’t working, I’ve tried refreshing the page, deleting cookies/history etc. but the text is still WHITE and i’m not able to change my font colour and see what I’m typing. I’ve tried using both explorer and chrome.. HELP! I dont undertand what is going on…

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Do not log-in on the front page of WordPress.com. Do not create posts here > http://wordpress.com/#!/post/

    Instead I recommend that you ONLY log-in directly you your own blog and ONLY create posts and edit them here > Dashboard > Posts > Add New

    If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

    Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html

    If you are, please do these four things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

    2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

    3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

    If you are not successful let us know which browser (and version of it) you’re using and post any error reports you get.

    thanks for the info. I tried all that….

    Actually when I click on new post from my dashboard, it gives me these icons with “text” “picture” etc. and when I click on one. NOTHING HAPPENS… I deliberately downloaded Chrome to see if wordpress would work..and it still doesn’t. :( This sucks! I dont’ understand.. last month I was fine blogging and today it’s like there’s new encoding and I can’t preview my posts or write a new one! It’s weird, because I can see my font fine here!

    Hi there, I created a test draft post on your site using Chrome but wasn’t able to replicate your issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps I’d like us to go through:

    1) Is there another computer you could try using to edit your site? Does it work there?

    2) Do you have any anti-virus or other security software running? Could you try turning it off just temporarily to see if the issue goes away? If so, you’ll need to tweak the settings in that software – if you let us know what software is the culprit we can help point you in the right direction.

    3) Could you please take and upload a screenshot to help in troubleshooting. Here’s a guide on how to make a screenshot, if you’re not sure: http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/ Please upload the screenshot in your Media Library and then post a link so I can see it.

    4) To rule out some of the WordPress.com software not fully loading at your end, could you please follow the steps here in Chrome and take the screenshot as instructed at the end:
