New post: Updating failed. Invalid parameter(s): template

Trying to create a new post. To do this I copied a previous post I have created (which works fine) and changed the ‘template’ in settings to ‘blank’.
This has worked previously with all my other newly created posts and maintains the formatting I have created. However this time I get the following error when I try to save the draft: “Updating failed. Invalid parameter(s): template”.
I can save the draft if I select ‘default template’ but I don’t want to do that as the formatting is incorrect.
I see the same error if I select ‘header and footer’ or ‘footer only’.
All of the other settings are correct / unchanged.
Please help, need to get a blog online this week.

It sounds like you come across a known issue we’re working on fixing.
At the moment, we suspect this is happening when posts are edited via the WordPress.com link posted above.
Can you tell me if you’re able to replicate this when editing via: https://wymondleycommunitygarden.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=394&action=edit please? This is known as WP Admin view.

Hi Adam, thanks so much for coming back to me and good to know it’s a bug rather than my user error!
I’ve tried the link you’ve sent – WP Admin view, but I’m still seeing the error when I try to save with ‘ blank template’.Do you have an estimated fix time on the bug by any chance?

Hi, is there any update on this fix? I know mine must seem like a very small blog compared to others, but we just launched our site and I have 3 new blogs to get uploaded which are pending this resolve.
