new post without notifying the subscribers

  hi fellow bloggers,

  i was wondering if it’s possible to make a post without it reaching the front page of my blog, and also without notifying the subscribers.

  the reason i want to make such posts because they are not exactly something that i would like to appear on my front page, but i would still like them to be a part of my blog.

  so, once again:

  is it possible to publish a new post, but not show it on the front page of my blog, or (at least) not notify the subscribers about it?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  when adding your new post , at publish and BEFORE you publish , you will see visibility , click edit and make it private and then publish , thats it

  That’s right.

  Actually, the best way is to change the date before you publish it, to some time in the past. It will still go out to your subscribers, but it won’t show on the front of the blog.

  If you really want to do this, edit an existing post and re-post it; make a new post and paste it in.. Then, take the original you were editing and empty all the content and the title, and put in the post you want to post “secretly.” Make SURE the URL does not change.
