New posts are not generating emails to my followers

  This is a new site for me that I started just last week. It is private, if that matters, and I have 4 followers.

  I have posted 2 new posts and it does not appear that anyone is getting notification emails.

  Is the private setting causing problems? As I have no issues on my other blog that is public.

  Also, one user who accepted his invitation as a Viewer is NOT listed in my Users tab. He is following. He is not getting notification emails.
  I am the owner, and am marked as “following” but I did not get emails either.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I am having the exact same problem… in settings under discussion there is simply no validation box to tick in allowing followers to receive email notifications… the only time they get an update notification is when I post a new post… help!
