new posts not showing on index page

  When I go to publish a post, I am receiving an error message stating a timeout. However, the post shows in my archive and is in the database. The next challenge is that my recent posts are not displaying on the index page – it is not updating. Not sure what to do????

  For the help that comes. My blog is located at http://www.bassfishingaskdave.com/WordPress and is a wordpress.org site located at my hosting platform with ipower.com. Again, I am needing assistance with getting my posts to display on my index page.
