New Press This

I went to use Press this last night and low and behold it has been ‘improved’.
I can no longer choose which blog to Press to; it defaults to my main blog.
I even tried copying and pasting the URL to one of the other blogs into the address of the Press page, it still defaulted.
I have administration privileges on 7 different blogs so this is frustrating and very inconvenient since I often find articles, pictures, etc. which are relevant to one of the others , or I want to Press the same thing to two different blogs.
I did search through Support first but the article I found relates to the old Press This, there is nothing for the new one yet.
    Please help?
I am happy to say I am impressed with one of the improvements though. Thank you for giving me the option to go to strong classic /strong editor. Thank you for that. I can now schedule my posts when I want them to go out instead of immediately.
Oh, and it would be nice (read that as useful) if there were hover words when some of the images are hovered over since I don’t necessarily know what the image is supposed to mean.
And, finally, could you possibly work with WIN10 Edge team to create a Press This which works with their share? I cannot drag and drop the Press This button into either the address bar or their Share panel and it’s a pain to switch between browsers in order to Press.
    Thank you.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Thanks for the feedback. We’ll pass that along.

For what it’s worth, you can set up a Press This button for each site. You can also rename the bookmarklets so it’s easier to see which button to use. Do you want to try that and let us know how it goes?

I don’t know how and that sounds like a pain since before I could just click Press This, click the drop down window and tell it which blog I want to post to.
The button works on Chrome and Firefox, it just doesn’t work with Edge yet.

  • Thanks, I’ve passed that feedback along. I know that “Press This” comes from an individual site’s dashboard, so it’s likely to select an individual site for now. I’ll let you know if that changes.

About Edge, it’s not supporting any bookmarklets right now. But I did find an article that explains how to make a bookmarklet in Edge. You can read that here. Best!
