New Question
-
NOt a new question, but I’m new here. I am used to blogger. I found the widgets, and moved the link and text ones to my sidebar…but they don’t show up on the page and how do I access them? Not sure what there are for, I assume the text one is to add like a quote or something. ? Can I add Code into the text one, should I ever open it?

All your sidebar widgets are located in your Admin => Presentation => Widgets. You can change the number of “text” and “rss” widgets at the bottom of the page. Just drop and drag them into the sidebar portion in the order you want. To edit a text (or any other widget) click on the right hand side of it and it will bring up a box to put in your information.
Code is allowed at wordpress.com but mainly just HTML. All php, asp, javascript, embeds, etc are stripped for security purposes. It is a little less available than you might be used to at blogger. There are quite a few workarounds for many common and popular services, so searching the forums can help you there.
