New Section request

Instead of killing topics on solicitation or for searching for paid assistance, why not create a section just for that. Why do you find it offensive that people are willing to pay for help and assistance from professionals? What is the big deal if people want to sell their expertise? Make a medium to facilitate that. Technology sells.
Make a forum for that.

for that.It will not be in the forums …. it has been debated at length in the wordpress.org forums. The same applies here. That sounds harsh but it really is a better place to not only get a wider choice of help but also to check out who is actually offering the help.

I am relieved to hear that our wordpress forums will not become a place where people are soliciting contractors, where people are competing for contract jobs, where negotiating terms takes place and where spammers can post with impunity.
Those who are in business or who are seeking others to do contract work are online elsewhere and can conduct their business there.

Deleting the poster’s other threads since I see Mark’s bit up there. I was wondering if they were going to be allowed in the OT thread.
And I thought wp-pro wasn’t for that? At least that’s what I reading with all of the complaints recently on teh subject within that list.
