New Site

    Good day
Please could you let me know what the way forward is in my regard.
O currently have a website up and running designed and run on WordPress however our old designer done this for us but we no longer use their services. We have a log in and password however it seems to have restricted access to only 2 pages and am not able to access any other elements on the site, thus restricting me to re-do our website. I have purchased a WordPress theme that i want to use for my new website. I would like to know what i would need to do? Would i need to sign up for a new subscription? Then how would I access the current website to be able to change it? We have our own domain that the site currently is hosted form.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards
    James Bendrau

    Hello!

What is the your current WordPress website address?

If your designer set up the site for you, it would be under his email and password, making him the owner of the site. If that’s the case, you would need to get the designer to give you proper administration access.

    Hello

    My current website is http://www.sbbrand.co.za
We have our own account with our service provider for hosting, so would have access codes for that.
Would there be no other way but to get the access details from our old designer?

    Hi,

That looks like a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with here.

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

WordPress.org has complete documentation and support at: https://wordpress.org/support/

Try contacting your site’s host (eg: GoDaddy, BlueHost), they may be able to help you with this.

    Hope that helps!
