  Hi. I joined wordpress about 7 years ago when I was just exploring how to blog.
  I’d like to create a website for my business, but I don’t want it published yet. I want to see how it looks, if wordpress can provide what I need. I don’t want a paid account yet.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  That’s perfectly fine, you can set your website’s privacy settings to Private so that only you can see it.
