New Site

    We currently have a website that was created in Microsoft Expression. I want to recreate it in WordPress, but need to do this offline. I would like to create the site on my computer before moving it to the server. Is this possible?

    It’s not possible to do that on WordPress.com, however, you can set your site to private while you’re building it so no one can actually visit it in the meantime.

    If you’d rather build the site locally, you may want to install WordPress software from WordPress.org and then host your site with another company.

    To clear up any further confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities. We, WordPress.com are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites. Whereas WordPress.org is a stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.
