  Looking to launch a site that works somewhat like a social media page. Would WordPress be able to support a site similar to Twitter? In terms of profiles, hashtag searches, etc. Thanks!

  Hi there!

  You will need a membership plugin to allow others to create accounts on your site and for that, you’ll want to upgrade to plan Business. You can read more about our plans here:

  Please note, however, that to create a social media site, plugins may not be enough and you may actually need some custom code. We won’t be able to help you with that, however, I’d recommend posting to the community forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.
  These forums are for the free WordPress.com users who do not have access to plugins or custom themes so you won’t likely get many recommedations :)
