My new site is http://donaldwrightmemorialscholarship.com/ . I added the Links widget and I want to:
1) Change BLOGROLL to read LINKS
2) Change the text color of that to white/cream as the other text. Can I?
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

(1) Create a Blogroll and see link categories
(2) Changing font color
These are 3 ways to change fonts on wordpress.com blogs.(1) Changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the HTML editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/
(2) Changing font colors in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page using the #4 icon (Select text color – change the text color) in Row 2 the Visual editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2
(3) Changing all font families, colors and sizes throughout the whole blog by purchasing an annually renewable Custom Design upgrade and using Typekit Fonts with Staff support. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/
Note: Any font changes to font families, colors and size in the blog title, tagline, post titles, page titles, categories and tags cannot be done without CSS editing. -
You’ve been SO great about helping me – thank you sooooo much!
Now I REALLY need help! I registered (url etc.)
http://donaldwrightmemorialscholarship.com/ as a WordPress blog and by golly its out there on the web, Google has already found it….
BUT
Its NOT listed in my blog list!!!???
Now what have I done???
-
Do you mean when you look at the grey Admin bar at the top of the page under Blogs it doesn’t show up? That is probably because “hotkey” is not a part of that blog but the other identity, the one you posted as originally, is. So it shows on the admin bar of donwrightms.

I’m still stumped by the Blogroll text color – the actual word “Blogroll” is black when all other text on the page is off white. Does that seem right? Or like a bug in the theme or what? I’d like all the font colors the same off white.

@donwrightms
Hi there. The theme you choose to use is coded to display all Widget titles in black font. I have checked this on my test blog. It’s also a very old theme that lacks many features. May I suggest that I suggest you choose another one like Quintus? -
That’s too bad – its very clean and professional other than that oversight! I dont care for Quitus too much. I tried Emire but it has a big “Latest” button that I can’t get off of the oldest post!
What other options do I have? Am I totally limited to those few themes on the sight?

There are over 140 themes to choose from and selecting is really a matter of taste and features.
And can I change the term Blogroll to Links?
Click the right hand corner of the Links widget and make another choice.
-
Ya I know there are 140 – I just wondered if I have other options? Most are not looking good at all with the type of site I need and the layout I want.
I’m going to Appearance/Widgets and clicking on the drop down arrow in the right corner. There I see 2 choices:
All Links
BlogrollNo matter which I select, it reads Blogroll. What am I missing?
-
Every link you enter must be assigned to a Category. To add a new Category, use the Add Category form on the left. Fill out the Category name, a Description (optional), and then click the Add Category button. Have you done that?
Re: themes
This is what I did on my test blog with Quintus. Note that you do not have to have a header image if you do not wish to. -
Phew! That hurt!!! LOL. I get it now – easy if you know the answer! Thanks.
That looks better than the native theme for sure but still more bold than I’d like. Can you help me soften it up? Make it look more like the other I had?
I hate to ask and understand if you care not to!
-
I don’t know what you mean by softer. There are many themes that the background color can be changed on. If you prefer Treba then use it.
