New Site Set Up

  Good afternoon. I am trying to set my site up and am running in to a small problem. Somehow I created two pages
  -wordpress,com/donellabrownephotographyanddesign

  AND
  -www.wordpress.com/donellabrowne

  I published content under the first wordpress site listed, but would actually prefer to use the /donellabrowne instead.

  Can I switch the names, and then delete the other address?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Do you mean you have created two sites:
  https://donellabrowne.wordpress.com/
  and
  https://donellabrownephotographyanddesign.wordpress.com/
  If they are both created under this account all you need to do is to click on “My Sites” and “switch site” to reach the dashboard of whichever site you want to.
  (Personally, I wouldn’t delete anything. You’d lose the address forever. You can go to “settings” and set the site you don’t want to use to “private”. It might come in handy as a test site in the future.)

  thank you, I will try that. Is this where I could transfer content as well?

  Hi There,

  You can move the content from your other site to donellabrowne by exporting your content and then importing it into your donellabrowne site.

  To do this, go to My Sites and make sure you are in your donellabrownephotographyanddesign site. Scroll down and click on settings. Scroll down to where you see Export – Export all. The files will be emailed to you.

  Open the email, download the files and extract the files.

  To import, make sure you are in your donellabrowne site. Scroll down and click on settings. Then scroll down to where you see Import. Choose WordPress and then upload your files.
