New site transfer

  I have set up the bones of a new site under my existing admin account but would now prefer to have built it under a new account (not yet created) so as to use a separate
  email contact address. When I go to Delete the newly created site I am advised that the domain name suggested by WordPress will no longer be available.
  Is this an absolute statement?
  If I do delete the new site and then re-create it under a new account will the suggested and preferred domain name become freely available once more?

  Don’t delete your site. You won’t be able to use that address again in the future. Simply create your new account and then transfer your site to that new account.

  Thank you for this prompt advice.

  I am a beginner at web site design and WordPress processes and terminology.
  I now find that I am not clear about some of the terms used in the guidance notes – Account, Site, Blog, Domain and Custom Domain – and so the difference between Transferring the Site and Transferring a Custom Domain is not clear enough for me.

  I have had a WordPress Account for some time, which I have used ONLY to learn how to create a Site using WordPress.
  Using this same Account, I recently created (experimentally again) the bones of a new Site.
  It is only the WordPress suggested Domain for this new Site that I wish to use under / transfer to a new Account (which I have now created) – new Account name and email address / password for login.
  I would be content to see the bones of the new Site lost (not transferred) and simply start again in the new Account, if that were to simplify the Transfer process. There is no Blog history to preserve.

  Is the Domain suggested by WordPress for this second Site properly called a Custom Domain? If not, then can I ignore that part of Transfer?

  In view of what I wish to achieve, is it just as effective to Add another Admin Name to my original Account and be prepared to administer the Sites separately? In this circumstance, would I have just the one (original) login to the Account or would two different logins to the Account be used, one for each Site?
