  I forgot to add… the Stats option from the W dropdown menu has also disappeared when viewing the blog in an ipad.

  The new smilies are mere daubs compared with old ones. Can’t you leave anything alone. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

  Can’t show you since my blog is private, but I am using the Coraline theme. All the similes in comments only show the left-hand side of the smiley – the right side is missing.

  Is half a smilie better than none? No – I don’t think so.

  Maybe my problem is that you use a size which doesn’t take the font size into account? I lose the most if I use a new smiley in an h1 heading…..

  We updated our smileys with a new design created for WordPress.com users. There is no option to use old vs new smileys.

  If they still aren’t working for you, please reply with the following information:

  1) A link to a specific post where a (default WordPress.com) smiley is not displaying properly
  2) What platform (Mac, PC) and browser/browser version you’re on
  3) Which theme you’re using, and if you have made any changes to the CSS

  From there, I will take a look and see if there are any commonalities among those of you who are still reporting issues with this.

  If your issue is unrelated to the smileys, please post a separate thread so we can address that separately.
